Ever wondered if the fuck-ups of our current leaders happened way back when? If you haven’t wondered, the answer is a resounding yes. In fact we’re doing some of it plot piece by plot piece! Welcome to History (and some Filipino one on the side) where you study just how the past works with the present and what it means to live in this shithole, knowing things barely change.
You will study why this place has so much corruption, why it is a crime haven, why our economy is in the gutter despite being richer, and various other negative traits of this country. Don’t worry about learning all this anyway, because as we all say:
“The reward for succeeding in the Philippines is to leave it (and then fuel the economy through remittances).”
P.S. A remittance is defined as a sum of money sent as a gift/payment, referring usually to what migrants workers send back to their families in their home countries.
